Red wine
Region: Jura
Appellation: AOC Arbois
Grapes: Pinot Noir 40%, Trousseau 20% et Ploussard 40%
Nose of small red fruits, crushed strawberries, redcurrants, with a light smoky touch.
Palate is delicious and silky, with pleasant tannins. The finish is lively. Delightful.
In the vineyard: the vines are grown organically. The soil is partially tilled before winter and remains grass-covered for the rest of the year. Marin use the Guyot-Poussard pruning method to respect the sap flow of our plants.
Lieux-dits: Au Vernois, Gaillard, en Longchamp, au Clouzot, la vasée (Montigny), aux Mélinaux, en courçons, à la besivette (Arbois)
Vine ages: From 1954 to 2002
Soils: Clay, limestone, and marly soils of the Jura
In the winery: infusion-style wine. The berries are hand-picked and in the morning, while temperatures are still low. Once in the vat, Marin interfere very little with the grapes. Spontaneous fermentations begin only after a few days, thanks to indigenous yeasts. In 2023, maceration lasted around ten days. 10 months in large oak casks, barrels, and stainless-steel tanks.
