Sparkling wine
Region: Jura
Appellation: AOC Arbois
Grapes: 60% Chardonnay, 40% Trousseau, 5% Savagnin and 5% Ploussard
Tender and precise, with super fine, persistent bubbles and a bright, mineral freshness. The nose reveals delicate floral notes.
In the vineyard: The soils are ploughed before winter and left to live naturally the rest of the year. Marin use the Guyot-Poussard pruning method to respect the sap flow of the plants.
Lieux-dits: Au Vernois, le Pré Levrons, en Longchamps, en Gaillard.
Vine ages: From 1982 to 1998
Soils: Marly soils from the Jura
In the winery: The grapes are hand-harvested and whole clusters are gently pressed in pneumatic presses. After the juice is transferred to tank, spontaneous fermentation begins after a few days, thanks to indigenous yeasts. Méthode traditionnelle, No dosage. Aged for 6 months in tank before the second fermentation in bottle, followed by 18 months on lees prior to disgorgement.
