White wine
Region: Jura
Appellation: AOC Arbois
Grape: 100% Chardonnay
Very dense, with a smooth and rounded palate. Muscat-like and mineral notes intertwine with hints of honey and yellow fruits, leading to a refreshing, well-balanced finish.
A true introduction to the Jura universe, showcasing the region’s distinctive character and strong identity.
In the vineyard: the vines are grown organically. The soils are ploughed before winter and left to live naturally the rest of the year. Marin use the Guyot-Poussard pruning method to respect the sap flow of our plants.
Vineyards names: Gaillard, les Loges, la Vasée, le Clousot, Fertans, Sauvagny (Montigny), la Teppe aux Loups, la Besivette (Arbois).
Planted from 1953 to 2018
Soils: Marly and limestone soils from the Jura
In the winery: The grapes are hand-harvested and whole clusters are gently pressed in pneumatic presses. After the juice is transferred to barrels, spontaneous fermentation begins after a few days, thanks to indigenous yeasts. The white wines are aged on their fine lees. 12 months in foudres, barrels and tanks followed by another 6 months in tank before bottling.
